Define the decision
Document what passes, what fails and what requires manual review. Include borderline examples and changing product presentations.
Make image capture repeatable
Review lighting, reflections, focus, camera mounting and motion. Poor image consistency can undermine even a well-trained model.
Measure the trade-offs
Evaluate false accepts and false rejects on unseen samples. Confirm response time, reject mechanisms and how the system will be monitored as products change.
Prepare your project brief
Bring samples, current output, target output, available space and utilities. Include quality expectations and the conditions that make your process difficult.
